This page is an entry point to data and information about Air, Water and the Land environment of the Latrobe Valley Region, Victoria, Australia.
Why report collectively?

The Latrobe Valley energy generation companies are all situated in a 30 kilometre zone in the Latrobe Valley Region of Victoria, Australia. The companies, many of which have grown out of the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria (SECV), have worked together since the early 1970s to monitor and improve emissions to air, water and land.

Currently they support and maintain an air monitoring network, the Latrobe Valley Air Monitoring Network (LVAMN), the Saline Water Outfall Pipeline (SWOP), and collectively report their response to the national Pollutant Inventory (NPI) Most companies are members of the Greenhouse Challenge and collectively report via the Latrobe Valley Taskforce.
